The Best Option For Your Walls

There are many options you can use in the home when it comes to accentuating your walls. The two most common methods are paint and wallpaper. These are the choices most everyone faces when they decide how to finish the walls in their homes. Both are a great way of setting up your walls. And, they both have their strengths and weaknesses. These tips will give you a good idea of what you should go for at the end of the day.

Compared to wallpaper, paint has a longer lasting effect at the end of the day. The fact that paint is applied directly to the wall with no need for adhesives makes it great for walls in damp areas. High humidity areas are a huge challenge when it comes to wallpaper. Most paints will easily withstand high humidity. Wallpaper needs adhesives that do not do well in dampness. This makes wallpaper a poor candidate for many in the kitchen and bathroom.

Wallpaper, on the other hand, provides more options when it comes to aesthetics. They are also easier to work with as a DIY project. The fact that wallpaper is printable allows it to come in almost any pattern. This is makes for great walls. It also comes in different textures without costing much at the end of the day. Paints that provide this effect will definitely cost a lot. The will also need professionals to execute the same costing even more.

The Inspiration Board: Spotlight 228 & Think Pink Inspiration

Hello friends! I hope you had a great weekend. I finally had some time to get some things done around the house after two back-to-back business trips. It was so nice to just be at home. I didn't even mind cleaning and tidying up. Imagine that! The weather has finally cooled down enough for me to start baking too. I live by the coast so we don't have air conditioning and this last scorching heatwave put the brakes on anything oven related. But now that it's cooler I can try out some of the amazing pumpkin recipes and fall dishes that you all have been linking up.

In case you've missed anything - here's a glimpse at what I've been sharing.

A huge thank you to everyone who's been linking up here on The Inspiration Board. I've been hosting this party for over four years and this past month has seen record link ups - over 300 each week. Woo hoo!! Here are the projects featured this week.
